Summer Nature Camps

(Ages 2-15 years)
Nature Camps at Ladew Gardens provide a unique, fun and educational experience for children aged 2 to 15.  Ladew’s beautiful 250-acre property includes formal gardens, a 1500 square foot, native butterfly & caterpillar house, forests, meadows, ponds and streams.  Staffed by adult naturalists, an art instructor and a former school teacher, we provide a low teacher to camper ratio to ensure a safe environment and individualized attention.

In this program blending art and environmental education, students will be inspired by the big sky with its vast galaxy, along with things in nature that fly, float and flutter. Each day will include sketching, art projects, hikes, and outdoor activities. A variety of genres, techniques and materials will be used. Students will have the opportunity to work with Ladew’s featured 2018 artists: kinetic sculptor Paul Daniel, and plein air artist, Henry Coe. Art kits will be provided. We will showcase the students work during an art show in Ladew’s Barn Gallery.
