In The Garden Series


Learn advanced gardening skills from the pros. Ladew’s In the Garden Series provides the
exclusive opportunity to learn directly from the Ladew Garden Staff out in the gardens. 
Sessions include pruning, shearing, repotting, composting and more. 


 Lecture Series


Ladew’s Spring and Fall Lecture Series provide inspiration for garden design, floral design,
interior design, art, travel and natural history. Speakers from across the country and abroad
share their expertise in each of these areas. Spring Lectures take place on Wednesday mornings
 at 10:30am, from late March through the end of April. Fall Lectures take place on Thursday mornings
at 10:30am, from late September through the end of October


 Plein Air Painting

Grab your paint and brushes and join us for this wonderful opportunity to observe new painting
techniques and learn and be inspired from Ladew’s artist-in-residence. 

Wild & Scenic Film Festival 

Kick off Earth Day’s 50th anniversary with the best of environmental and
adventure films which inspire care and activism for our environment 


Wild Walks, Talks, Yoga and More

Take a walk on the wild side at Ladew. Join us for indoor discussions
and / or outdoor explorations through the gardens, meadows or woodlands
with local experts and / or Ladew educators.

Volunteer Training and Learning Opportunities       


New volunteers receive hands-on training through scheduled training sessions and/or on-the-job
experience throughout the year. Returning volunteers receive opportunities to attend refresher
training classes, as well as off-site fieldtrips.
