Quarry Overlook

This vantage point shows another view of the quarry pond. There are many interesting wildflowers in this area. A few which you might notice are native ginger, columbine, phlox, shooting star, toadshade, and rattlesnake weed. The small white fungus that is noticeable beginning in late June is called Indian Pipe. There are also some holly trees along the path and native deciduous azaleas, called pinxter.
