Ladew Gardens presents our annual Maple Magic, now in its 18th year. Guests of all ages are invited to experience the process of making real maple syrup. Join us for a nature hike to identify trees in winter, observe tapped maple trees, and collect sap, which is boiled down into delicious, amber syrup on an open fire. End the day with tasty treats of pure maple syrup and candy.

~ Maple Magic takes place exclusively outdoors in groups up to 20 people.

Space is limited. Advance registration is required as Maple Magic sells out each year.

Maple Magic tours are offered each day at 12 noon, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm. (The tour lasts up to 90 minutes)

Please note: Technically, the gardens and facilities are closed to the public during this event. Therefore, the gift shop, café and gardens will not be accessible. Public restrooms will be available. With the potential for snow melt and thawing ground, hundreds of feet in the gardens would be detrimental to our turf paths. Therefore, the Maple Magic program will be guided by staff and volunteers and will take place in the meadow and forested areas of Ladew’s property. Thank you for understanding.
