Thursday and Friday,  9 am to 4 pm

Gardens, Manor House and Nature Walk are OPEN on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. (Please Note: our offices are closed for these holidays).

Purchase tickets at the Admissions Gatehouse when you arrive or pre-purchase tickets.

  • General admission tickets are not accepted for Special Events including but not limited to  Maple Magic, Garden Festival, Garden Glow, A Ladew Christmas, and programs that require registration and payment.

Pre-purchased tickets may be used throughout the 2025 season.
Tickets are non-refundable.


Members: Please download your digital membership card to be scanned for entry, or bring your paper membership card with you to admissions on the day of your visit. 


Pets are not permitted at Ladew Gardens, nor are there provisions to temporarily house them during a visit. Please do not leave pets in your parked car during warm weather as shade is minimal. Properly identified service animals are welcome at Ladew.  While we appreciate the benefit provided by emotional support animals, comfort animals and therapy dogs, they do not qualify as service animals under Title II and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Admission

Gardens, Nature Walk and seasonal Butterfly House

  • Adults: $20

  • Seniors: (62+): $14

  • Young Adults (13-18): $14

  • Children: (2-12): $5

  • Children: under 2: Free

General admission tickets are good for a whole day but do not include special events.


Additional $7 for Docent-Guided Manor House Tour (Purchased at Admissions on a first come first serve basis)

 

Admissions discounts are offered to AAA members, Military and First Responder personnel, through Senior Box Office, and through Museums for All. (Please show the appropriate credentials to receive your discount.)


House Tours
The historic Manor House offers 30-minute docent-guided tours on Weekdays – 11:00, 12:00, 1:00 & 2:00    |   Weekends – 11:00-3:30 on the half hour
The cost is an additional $7. First come, first served tickets. Free for Ladew Members. (Tickets are not sold online. Reservations are not accepted.).

Butterfly House
The native Butterfly House is open July 5 through September 27, 2024. A 20-minute docent-guided tour of the Butterfly House is included in your general admission. However, first come, first served timed tickets are required and can be picked up at Admissions upon your arrival to Ladew. Hours: "Thursday through Tuesdays: 9:20 am - 3:20 pm / Closed on Wednesdays" /  Twilight Tuesdays: 9:20 am - 6:40 pm. (Please note: The Butterfly House is an outdoor exhibit and occasionally closes due to inclement weather. Dates and hours are subject to change.)

Gift Shop 
The Ladew Gift Shop is filled with treasures of all kinds! You'll find a unique selection of garden-themed items, books, statuary, and gifts.
Ladew members receive a 10% discount.

Ladew Café 
The Ladew Café offers a delicious menu featuring artisan sandwiches, salads, sweets, and more — served up by Harford County's popular Eats & Sweets. Ladew members receive a 10% discount.


Photography Notice

Upon entering the premises you grant Ladew Topiary Gardens and its agents the right to videotape, film, and photograph you and use your likeness in connection with the commercial production, and in the distribution, exhibition, and exploitation thereof.


 

Directions

From the South and West Via the Baltimore Beltway
Take the Baltimore Beltway (I-695) toward Towson to Exit 27B (North).
Go North on MD Route 146 (Dulaney Valley Rd.).
After the Loch Raven reservoir Bridge, bear left onto Jarrettsville Pike (MD Rte.146).
Ladew Gardens is located on your right, 5 miles north of the stoplight in Jacksonville on MD Rte.146.

From the North or South Via I-95
Take Exit 74 to MD Route 152. Follow MD Route 152 northwest to the dead end
at MD Route 146 (Jarrettsville Pike) and go left.
Ladew Gardens is approximately 1 mile ahead on your left.

From York, Pennsylvania
Take I-83 south to Exit 36 (MD Route 439).
Follow MD Route 439 East for about 6 miles to a dead end at MD Route 23. 
Turn right on MD Route 23 for approximately 3 miles to the junction of MD Route 146 (Jarrettsville Pike).
Turn right on MD Route 146.
Ladew Gardens is 3 miles ahead on your left.
